Sahitya
Department of Sahitya was started in 1936 as Kavya course. Famous scholars like Sahrudayailakan Ramapisharodi were the first teachers in the department. In 1963, B.A course and in 1979, MA course were started. Former Vice-chancellor of Kerala Kalamandalam Dr. K.G Paulose was the former head of the department. At present Dr. Saritha Maheswaran is the head of the department.
